Why can't I find vintage on Google?
Because most of it isn't there. Goodwill's auction site and Facebook Marketplace sit behind logins and scripts that Google doesn't index. Search "Roseville jardiniere" and you'll get eBay, Etsy, and a wall of Pinterest — you won't get the one sitting at $18 on shopgoodwill right now.
Google: “Roseville jardiniere”
- eBay and Etsy listings
- A wall of Pinterest pins
- Price-guide blogs
- Nothing from Goodwill or Facebook
Prowl: same search
- ShopGoodwill auctions, live now
- Facebook Marketplace, any US metro
- Craigslist, OfferUp, HiBid, estate sales
- Plus eBay, Etsy and 16 more
Prowl runs your search across 26 vintage marketplaces at once — including the ones Google skips. Free, no account, built by a collector who got tired of typing the same search into eight sites every morning.
🐾26 marketplaces searched from one screen — no accounts, no fees.
How collectors use it
01Your grail list
Save the pieces you've hunted for years. Tap one and it drops into the search box, ready to run.
02Search All
One term, every marketplace, including the ones Google can't reach.
03Live listings
ShopGoodwill, eBay, Etsy, Chairish, Poshmark, Depop, Vinted and Grailed results show right on the page, with photos.
04Price Check
What pieces actually sold for on eBay in the last 90 days — and three years of deep comps for the rare ones.
05Facebook & Instagram
Facebook USA runs your term in every major metro. Instagram searches it as a hashtag, for sellers who sell in the comments.
06Near Me
Antique shops, estate sales, flea markets and more around you, in Google Maps or Apple Maps. It's in the Den, under Local.
07Books & paper
AbeBooks for first editions, signed copies and ephemera.
08No account, no fee
No email, no sign-up. Your list stays on your device.
The sources the apps don't search
Most search tools cover the big clothing marketplaces. Prowl was built for the rest of vintage: pottery, glass, lamps, furniture, toys, books, the things that turn up where a Google search never looks.
Thrift, online. ShopGoodwill, live on the page, with photos and the auction end time.
Estate sales and auction houses. EstateSales.net, HiBid, LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable, one tap each, so the Friday sale and the Saturday auction are in the same hunt as eBay.
Local, by city. Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist searched for your saved city, not a nationwide feed you have to filter down.
Sold prices, not wishes. Price Check opens eBay's sold listings, and three years of Terapeak comps when ninety days isn't enough. The Fair price verdict says whether its range came from sales or from listings, every time.
One term, 26 marketplaces, no account, your list stays on your phone.

What is Prowl?
Prowl by Owl & Twig is a free search tool for vintage collectors. Type a piece once and it builds that search for 26 marketplaces on one screen, including ShopGoodwill, Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, which a regular Google search rarely reaches. It is built by Matt at Owl & Twig Vintage, a family vintage shop in Michigan.
Which marketplaces does Prowl search?
eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, Ruby Lane, Chairish, 1stDibs, Reverb, Whatnot, Vinted, Bonanza, eCrater, AbeBooks, AptDeco, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, ShopGoodwill, EstateSales.net, HiBid, LiveAuctioneers, Heritage Auctions, Invaluable and Craigslist, plus eBay sold listings for pricing. ShopGoodwill, eBay, Etsy, Chairish, Poshmark, Depop, Vinted and Grailed results show right on the page; the rest open in their own tab. Instagram sits beside them as a hashtag search.
How do I find antique shops and estate sales near me?
Open the Den and tap Local. Tap a store type, like antique stores, thrift stores, estate sales or flea markets, and a map search opens around you in Google Maps or Apple Maps. Save your city there too, and Craigslist and Facebook search that area.
Is Prowl free?
Yes. No account. Your search list stays on your device.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Built mobile-first. Add it to your home screen, and allow pop-ups if you use Open all. On a phone, Facebook opens in your browser so the search sticks, so log in to Facebook there once.
How does Price Check work?
One tap opens eBay's sold listings for your term — actual sale prices from the last 90 days, the most accurate read on what a piece is worth right now. Asking prices lie; sold prices don't.
What if nothing sold in 90 days?
That happens with genuinely rare pieces. Price Check has a second button for three years of deep comps via eBay's Terapeak research — free with any eBay account. Open it in your browser rather than the eBay app, or the date range gets dropped.
