How to get Prowl Alerts
Prowl Alerts sends you one email each morning with new listings for the things you hunt, from ShopGoodwill, eBay, Etsy and Chairish. It only sends listings you have not been sent before. Free for 3 hunts. No password: you sign in with your Owl & Twig account, and we email you a 6-digit code.
Turn it on (2 minutes)
- Open Prowl. Go to owlandtwigvintage.com/pages/prowl, or open the Prowl app if you installed it.
- Add your hunts. Type what you collect into + add a hunt on the home screen (for example brad keeler fish or kron lamp) and press Enter. Each one becomes a favorite.
- Tap Prowl Alerts. It is the envelope line under your hunts, or go to Den › Settings.
- Tap Sign in or sign up. Type your email. Owl & Twig emails you a 6-digit code; type it in. New here? That same step makes your account.
- Tap Turn on Prowl Alerts. You land back in Prowl, signed in. One tap and you are on.
- That's it. Your first email comes the next morning, around 7 AM Eastern. If it is not in your inbox, check spam and mark it Not spam so the daily emails land properly.
Rather not have an account? Tap Use email only instead, type your email, tap Email me daily, then tap Yes, email me in the email called Confirm your Prowl Alerts.
Use Prowl on your phone and your computer
Your hunts and your plan belong to your account, so they follow you to any phone or computer.
- Open Prowl on the other device and tap Prowl Alerts.
- Tap Sign in or sign up and use the same email. Prowl signs you straight in with your hunts and plan.
Shortcut: the Open Prowl signed in link at the bottom of every alert email does the same thing in one tap.
Every alert email also has a See every hunt live on Prowl Daily button, and an Also search line under each hunt for Facebook, Mercari, Ruby Lane, LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable and HiBid.
Once you are signed in on both, add or remove a hunt on either one and the other catches up the next time you open it.
More than 3 hunts: Prowl Pro
Free alerts cover your first 3 hunts, and everyone gets 3 free Fair price? checks a day. Prowl Pro is $7 a month for up to 25 hunts, every hunt in your Den (not just favorites), and unlimited Fair price? checks.
- In Prowl Alerts, tap Upgrade · $7/mo (or open this link on a device where you are signed in).
- Prowl opens checkout with Prowl Pro in your cart and your Prowl Alerts email already on the order, so Shop Pay or any checkout email works. Pay as normal.
- Back in Prowl, tap I already upgraded. Your plan switches to Pro and every hunt is in the next morning's email.
Pro renews on the same day each month and you get an emailed receipt for each charge. Your plan, last payment, renewal date and receipt are always shown in Den › Settings.
Change, pause or stop
- Change your hunts: add or remove favorites in Prowl. The email follows.
- Stop one hunt: tap Stop emails for … under that hunt in any alert email.
- Stop all emails: tap Unsubscribe at the bottom of any alert email, or in Den › Settings.
- Cancel Prowl Pro: go to your account and open Subscriptions, or email hello@owlandtwigvintage.com. Pro stays on until the end of the month you paid for.
- Sign out on one device: tap Sign out in Prowl Alerts. Your emails keep coming.
Questions
Do I need a password? No. Owl & Twig emails you a 6-digit code each time you sign in on a new device.
I didn't get the code or the confirm email. Check spam and promotions, then ask for a new one and use the newest.
I upgraded but it still says Free. Wait a minute after checkout, then tap I already upgraded. Always start the upgrade from Prowl so your Prowl email goes on the order. Still stuck? Email hello@owlandtwigvintage.com.
What does Prowl see? Your email and your hunt words, plus, for Pro, whether there is a Prowl Pro order for that email. Your card details stay with Shopify checkout.
